Mishkan Shalom Yamim Nora'im 5780

~ Rabbi Shawn Israel Zevit and Rabbi Yael Levy ~

Opening the Gates of Justice and Compassion

Using the mystical tool of Gematria, where numbers are transformed into letters, the New Year, 5780, reveals the letter, pei. Pei signifies openings and focuses our attention on what is created from our words and deeds.

As we enter into this New Year and new decade, we will open ourselves to the calls of our country,
our planet, our community and our own souls.

We will guide each other in returning to balance, awareness, clarity and strength so that the words of our mouths, the meditations of our hearts and the work of our hands will be aligned for healing, justice and peace.

We look forward to entering into this New Year together.
