Shabbat Family Program

Our Shabbat Family Program is offered once a month from 11:00 a.m. to noon during the Torah service or during Kabbalat Shabbat potluck or services on Friday evenings. On Shabbat mornings, families leave the main service and go to a nearby space for the program, designed to engage children (and their grown-ups) in a meaningful, enriching way.

This monthly program is a time and space to actively explore some of the relevant lessons of the week's Torah portion and select Shabbat prayers. We will engage the Torah and tefillah (prayers) with movement, imagination, discussion, art and music. This interactive program is designed for parents and adult caregivers along with their children, as well as the wider community. All are welcome.

This Shabbat Family Program is led by Rabbinic Intern Julie Benioff, a fourth-year student at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College.

For more information, contact Julie Benioff, Rabbinic Intern.
