Second Chances

Today is Pesach Shani—the 2nd Passover. This designation comes from Temple times.  When someone was unable to bring their pesach offering to the Temple on the Passover Festival they were given a second chance to bring the offering  on the full moon of this month, Iyar.

The message of pesach shani and this whole month of iyar is that—

IT IS NEVER TOO LATE.  No matter what situation we find ourselves in, no matter how far away we are-how lost, how unsure, this month tells us there is always a way back.  There is always a way to rectify a situation, there is always a way to find healing peace, forgiveness, direction.

May we celebrate pesach shani by remembering it is never too late for us or anyone else.

Let’s offer each other forgiveness, blessing and the opportunity to find our way to begin again.
