CONGREGATION MISHKAN SHALOM:
GUIDELINES FOR GATHERING IN PERSON
Effective Since 12/1/2021, Updated 11/3/2022
We are thrilled to be re-gathering both online and in person. Mishkan's Hashiveynu Committee has updated our covenant for in-person services and programming. We will continue to offer hybrid and online services for those who are unable to attend in person. All congregants and their guests must agree to this covenant to ensure the health and safety of all.
Registration and attendance for any in-person gathering requires agreeing to the following covenant:
Covenant for a Safe and Healthy Return:
· Full vaccination is required to attend in-person gatherings for everyone eligible to be vaccinated.
· Masks must be worn when gathering in person. Masks may be removed by the program or service leader if social distancing is maintained.
· Pre-registration/RSVP of all attendees is required for contact tracing purposes.
· Families with children not eligible to be vaccinated can gather for family programming that will maintain masking and social distancing safety measures.
· All visits to the building and grounds including committee meetings, program meetings, and appointments with rabbis and staff need to be arranged in advance with office staff.
· Anyone entering the building will wear a mask, even if they are vaccinated.
· If you should test positive for COVID-19 after visiting our building or a Mishkan event please contact our office manager, Maria, or call 215-508-0226 as soon as possible
· Unvaccinated people should participate in Mishkan gatherings via Zoom.
· Mishkan groups and committees should continue to make use of Zoom and/or outdoor meetings when possible.
- For outdoor gatherings at Mishkan, masks are optional. Food is permitted outdoors with advance permission by and coordination with Office Manager.
- For indoor gatherings, masks are required. If food is desired for any indoor gathering, permission must be granted by Office Manager and all details of the event must be coordinated with her. Masks may be removed indoors while eating in one place; otherwise masks remain in use.
· Anyone hosting a Mishkan gathering at their home or other location needs to specify in the event information whether the event is indoors or out, whether mask-wearing will be required, whether unvaccinated people may attend, and how safety for all will be maintained.
Access to the building or grounds around the building will only be by pre-clearance with the Mishkan Shalom office or by pre-registration where required. (Please call the office 215-506-0228, ex 1000 or e-mail Maria@mishkan.org in advance for authorization).
The Hashiveynu Group continues to monitor COVID-19 guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Philadelphia Department of Health and may further restrict in-person activities should pandemic conditions and social distancing protocols change.
