Membership Renewal + Pledge Form - 5781 (2020-2021)

Thank you for your 5781 Membership Pledge

Consistent with our values and Statement of Principles, we ask that each household make an informed decision of which Membership Commitment Level best reflects your ability to support our community through annual dues.We are committed to the principle that those with greater means will give more, and those with less will give up to their ability.

Think about the ikar/essence of what Mishkan Shalom offers and take a moment to reflect on what role this spiritual community plays in your life and the life of your family. Now, more than ever, our interdependence is evident.

We need each other in ways that we could not have imagined when you renewed your membership last year. When it comes to the issues we face in the coming year, President Steve Jones requested this in his renewal letter

I am asking for two specific things from each Mishkan household:

  • First, please tell us about your planned dues commitment for 5781, which began July 1 2020.  Please submit your pledge below, stating your annual dues commitment by July 22.This will allow us to base our spending and other financial decisions on a level of dues support we can count on.

  • My second request is that you consider a 5% increase in your membership dues contribution compared to last year.

To help guide your decision, we have developed Membership Commitment Levels. Remember, Mishkan uniquely asks you to self-assess your dues contribution and in doing so, we hope that you will give with a nadiv lev/full heart.

Thank you for re-joining Mishkan Shalom for 5781. New for 5781: this shorter DUES PLEDGE FORM for existing members. After you complete your pledge you will be taken to a payment portal to make your first payment, if you were planning to do so today. You will also see options to set up recurring payments or to pay by check.

Yahrtzeit, literally meaning "anniversary" in Yiddish, refers to the yearly memorial of the death of a loved one. Our membership database keeps a list of people you would like to memorialize. We notify you reminding you of an upcoming date and read their names before the mourners kaddish on the week of the anniversary.

Are there people who passed in the last year whose yahrtzeits you would like to remember? If so, please provide

  • name
  • relationship to you
  • date of death

Note: this form does not process payments. It lets the office know what to expect. When you submit this form you'll be taken to a page where you will have the opportunity to make a payment, but you don't have to. You can send a check or set up recurring payments on a different page. Again, this information enables the office to track your pledge and payments.
