Intermediate Hebrew

This course, taught by Rabbi Meryl Crean, is a ten-week class, being offered on Tuesday evenings from October 22-January 14 from 7:00-8:30pm. Please note there is no class on November 5 (Election Day), December 24 (Christmas Eve), or December 31 (New Year's Eve).

If you already know the aleph-bet, but never cracked the code,
If you like to come to shul, but can't quite follow the Hebrew,
Then this class is for you.

This class is designed to help you enter the world of Hebrew prayer. Using the textbook Aleph Isn't Enough building on the beginner book Aleph Isn't Tough. In addition to each lesson and companion exercises, we delve into the meanings and rhythms of Jewish prayer.

The class meets for 10 weeks in the Fall covering half of the lessons in the text. If interest continues, the Spring class will complete the book. At the end of the year of study, you will be able to follow along in the Hebrew, understanding the themes of each prayer. Welcome Home!
