Celebrating our Historic Liberation- Standing By Those Still Searching for Theirs: Join us as we celebrate the 8th and final day of Passover, with Makaelat Michael (Mishkan Choir), the confirmation of Ethan Soloway, and special guest Rabbi Elyse Wechterman, the Executive Director of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association, who will share with us reflections on her recent trips to the southern border. Our newly reformed Immigration Working Group will also be honored and be available to speak with those interested in joining in the work we are doing for immigrants and refugees through Mishkan Shalom. A kosher for Passover Kiddush will be served after services sponsored by Rabbi Phyllis Berman and Arthur Waskow, and Lynne Iser and Rabbi Mordechai Liebling.

Rabbi Elyse Wechterman is the Executive Director of the RRA.  Prior to that she served as the spiritual leader of Congregation Agudas Achim in Attleboro for 13 years.  In the past year, she has visited the border three times to witness the treatment of migrants entering our country.  She represents the Reconstructionist movement in the fight for better gun laws, against mass incarceration and for criminal justice reform, on immigration issues and a host of other social justice concerns.  Rabbi Elyse is proud to have been arrested three times for civil disobedience since President Trump took office.  She lives in Abington, PA with her family, including daughter Sharon, a regular participant in Mitzvah Menches which meets at Mishkan Shalom.
