This is a call to action on the 49th anniversary of MLK’s assassination. On April 4, 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated while supporting Black sanitation workers on strike for respect for themselves and their union.

Led by POWER and the MLK DARE Coalition, we’ll gather at Thomas Paine Plaza at 5 pm in a rally for racial justice and to lift up Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.‘s legacy. It will be followed by a POWER teach-in on Black Work Matters, from 6-8 pm, across the street at Arch Street United Methodist Church. For more info, go to rally and teach-in.
