February is Jewish Disability Awareness & Inclusion Month (JDAIM) - a unified national initiative to raise disability awareness and support efforts to foster inclusion within the Jewish community. Mishkan educator Gabby Kaplan-Mayer will share a reading from her new book The Little Gate-Crasher.  This is the story of her amazing Great-Uncle Mace Bugen, an unstoppable spirit who never let society or his limited mobility issues dictate what he could and couldn't do. We'll discuss how Mace's story can teach us about creating accessibility and inclusion today.

Since it's Shabbat, we won't have books for sale--but if you haven't read Mace's story yet, you can order a copy here.

The Little Gate-Crasher was selected as one of two books for JDAIM Reads, a national initiative focused on books by Jewish authors to raise disability awareness.
