The City Where You Are
Seek the well-being of the city where you are.
Pray on its behalf, for in its well-being will you find your well being.
(Jeremiah 29:7)
What do you love about where you live?
How do you contribute to its well-being?

This final week of the year, we make a commitment to stop 100 times a day to notice beauty, to cultivate amazement, to offer gratitude, to open our senses and encounter the world with awe. This week's practices are wonder, awe and gratitude. It also is traditional to say Psalm 27 each morning during the month of Elul.
An Accounting of the Soul is a series of teachings and practices for each day of the month of Elul by Rabbi Yael Levy. Each week Rabbi Yael shares a teaching and practice as well as daily kavanot – intentions – to aid in heshbon hanefesh, an examination of who we are and what our words, actions and intentions have brought forth this past year.
